For Aiden frontman Wil Francis, the chilly remove of the synthesizer has provided him with the perfect means to express his other sides. The dark synth-pop side project, William Control, is another persona entirely, both musically and literally. And his first album in character, HATE CULTURE, served mainly as an outlet for Francis’s personal turmoil, whether it is from his battles with drugs, the death of friends, or his own suicidal impulses. While Aiden continues to be Francis’s main focus, William Control remains a viable parallel expression of the more melodramatic aspects of his personality.
