In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memories of music are with my Opa who was an organ player, he had a small pip organ built into his home in Southern, Alberta and I still remember sitting on the bench with him while he played pointing out his place on the sheet music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Adele, 21 Jann Arden, Living Under June Tracy Chapman, Tracy Chapman They’re masterclasses in honesty. Tracy Chapman’s quiet urgency, Adele’s raw heartbreak, and Jann Arden’s wit and vulnerability taught me that the best songs don’t hide behind production...they make you feel seen. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Last Song” This song saved me, it literally brought me back to myself. It took nearly a decade to write after many failed attempts and never quite getting it right. A broken heart can be a really dangerous thing when you don't have the right support network.
