Tim Hicks

Hailing from Ontario, Tim Hicks is an award-winning country singer-songwriter whose catalog boasts multiple Gold and Platinum records in Canada. ∙ “Get By,” Hicks’ debut single, was released in 2012, was certified Gold the following year, and ultimately earned Platinum status. ∙ His 2013 LP, Throw Down, earned him the first of three Juno Award nominations he’s received for Country Album of the Year. ∙ After scoring a nomination the previous year, he won the Canadian Country Music Association’s Award for Rising Star in 2014. ∙ In 2018, Hicks was the first recipient of the Nielsen Compass Award, which recognizes total content plays, including streams, sales, and social media following. ∙ “No Truck Song,” which he described as his “tongue-in-cheek, designed to give fans (and me!) a chuckle” tune, topped Billboard’s Canada Country chart in 2020.
