About Charlie Berry

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Leaving the record store I was in the passenger seat of my Dad's baby blue Datsun 280z. I was 6 years old. He peeled the plastic off of a brand new Jackson Browne cassette. We drove around and listened to the whole thing front to back. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fleetwood Mac, Rumours Tom Petty, Full Moon Fever Will Hoge, The Wreckage "Rumours" is close to a perfect record to me. It has everything. Stripped back to overproduced. "Full Moon Fever" is a huge part of my musical soul. "The Wreckage" was the record that bridged the gap between rock and country for me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “It's Still Here” This song is about pulling back into my hometown of Dallas, Texas and getting hit wave after wave with all the memories I left behind when I moved to Nashville. It starts sweet and ends with the pain of watching her in my rear view mirror as I left. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Back when I was the singer in a band called Mockingbird Sun we had the opportunity to entertain the Navy overseas, and through that we ended up playing a show on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman out in the Indian Ocean. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to have a conversation with Bruce Springsteen. I want to sell out a stadium. I want hit records. But most of all I want my music to reach the people it was meant to reach. Whatever that means.
