In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I heard Tinariwen when I lived close to the Algerian border. It came on cassettes. Every now and then, a guy would come in his car and he had a cassette player in the car and we would listen. Later on I had my own radio cassette player. Tell us why you chose this song. “Aratane N' Adagh” This song is an homage to the children and woman of the desert, who are often the victims of war.
