Imperial Triumphant

Imperial Triumphant are an experimental, blackened jazz-metal band from New York. Led by vocalist/guitarist Zachary Ilya Ezrin, their sound employs dissonant, experimental sonics, technical black metal, vanguard jazz, neo-classical tenets, and much more. Since issuing 2012's acclaimed Abominamentvm, they've undergone several lineup changes and recorded for a variety of labels including Gilead Media and Century Media. 2018's Vile Luxury, a concept album, featured New York City as a character and speaking subject, incorporating jazz harmonics, improvisation, and varied instrumentation. 2020's Alphaville doubled down on the musical exploration to global accolades. 2022's Spirit of Ecstasy featured horns and numerous guests including Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick, Voivod vocalist Denis "Snake" Belanger, and smooth jazz saxist Kenny G. They issued cover singles in 2023, playing tunes by Wayne Shorter, Dizzy Gillespie, Rush, Metallica, and Radiohead. The band returned in 2025 with the full-length Goldstar.
