About Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra

Since 1988, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra has served as the in-house big band for New York City’s premier arts showcase Lincoln Center. It is the orchestral medium for various projects and commissions, usually highlighting and/or honoring composers and performers who’ve made major contributions to jazz’s rich legacy. The LCJO has also accompanied its artistic director Wynton Marsalis live and on recordings, and has been an artistic ambassador for jazz nationally and internationally.
