About Gorod
Gorod, the French technical death metal outfit, are an outlier on the scene in their home country because of their intense reliance on high production values and their distance from black metal. Originally founded as Gorgasm in 1997, they changed their name in 2004 to avoid confusion with a Chicago death metal band. The French group's sound has evolved from raw death metal to a hooky, groove-laden, yet no less aggressive approach through various lineup changes. Gorod is best known for the 2012 album A Perfect Absolution.
