About Björn Meyer
Swedish bassist Björn Meyer is a subtle improvisationalist and sound sculptor whose projects weave together jazz, folk, and ambient sounds. A founding member of the contemporary folk trio Bazar Blå, Meyer has been a vital presence on the global music scene since the '90s, working with artists like Anouar Brahem, Asita Hamidi, Nik Bärtsch, and others. He has released two albums of sonically textural solo bass for ECM with 2017's Provenance and 2026's Convergence.
