Junius

Since the early 2000s, Boston-based Junius have turned out an engaging, unpredictable discography built on traditional, unfussy hard rock arrangements, clean and engaging vocals, and lyrics inspired by all sorts of disparate elements, from obscure scientific figures to figures in Greek mythology. Anchored around the duo of singer/lyricist Joseph E. Martinez and drummer Dana Filloon, Junius released a spate of material in the 2000s and 2010s from 2004's Forcing Out the Silence to 2017's Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light, embarking on a lengthy hiatus pre- and post-pandemic before emerging with 2026's Sotera.
