About Reble
Meghalaya-raised hip-hop artist Reble—aka Daiaphi Lamare—has taken English-language rap from India to new heights, wowing global audiences and Bollywood bigwigs with her fiery bars. Reble first experimented with rhymes at age 11, drawing inspiration from the cathartic lyricism of Notorious B.I.G. and Eminem. To shield her musical ambitions from her family while pursuing a civil engineering degree in Bengaluru, she initially performed under the moniker Daya with Symphonic Movement. However, by 2019 she fully embraced her artistic side as Reble with a slew of singles including “Bad” (2019) and her EP Entropy (2022). Songs such as “New Riot” and “Kill Switch” brought braggadocious energy that occasionally looked inward. Her mainstream breakthrough came through collaborations on “Run Down the City – Monica” and “Aari Aari” for the Dhurandhar franchise, with music composed by Shashwat Sachdev. Working alongside heavyweights such as Sonu Nigam and Jasmine Sandlas, the rapper has brought a sharp, unpretentious edge to Bollywood like few others. Whether tackling classism and identity or trading bars with collaborators including Hanumankind, Reble remains a lyrical powerhouse who refuses easy categorisation.
