David Cronenberg's Wife

Yet another in a long line of weirdly monikered bands inhabiting the London anti-folk scene of the fading years of the 21st century's first decade, David Cronenberg's Wife were led by songwriter Tom Mayne. The only stable member in a group -- of sorts -- formed in 2002, Mayne and company released their first single, "I Couldn't Get Off," in 2007. A debut full length, Bluebeard's Rooms, followed in 2008 to further critical acclaim. ~ Chris True
