Cut Off Your Hands

About Cut Off Your Hands

Though their name suggests something more brutal, Auckland, New Zealand's Cut Off Your Hands, originally known as Shaky Hands, play harmless, sporadically danceable inde rock reminiscent of predecessors Franz Ferdinand and the Shins. Formed in 2006, featuring Nick Johnson on vocals, Michael Ramierez on guitar, Phil Hadfield on bass, and Brent Harris on drums, the group scored a hit in New Zealand and Australia with their debut EP, SHAKY HANDS, in 2007. A second EP, BLUE ON BLUE, was issued in 2007, and the group's debut full length, the Stephen Street produced YOU AND I, saw release in the U.S. in early 2009.
