About Woog Riots

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I saw german Post-Punk band DAF playing in my hometown (Silvana). One of my earliest live shows were The Jesus and Mary Chain in Frankfurt (Marc). I danced to Human League, Kraftwerk & others at Techno-Club hosted by Talla 2XLC (Silvana + Marc) What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kraftwerk, Computer World (Remastered) LCD Soundsystem, LCD Soundsystem The Specials, The Specials (Deluxe Version) I love the guitars of Young Marble Giants and the synthesizers of Kraftwerk. I love Terry Hall, The Specials and Fun Boy Three. I love to dance to LCD Soundsystem, M.I.A. and Chemical Brothers. I love Indiepop and The Fall. I Love Hot Chip and Suuns. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Post Covid Honeymoon” In this song I sing about my wedding trip, a highlight being a concert by Swell Maps C21 in Edinburgh. Singer Jowe Head (Swell Maps, Television Personalities) provides an unmistakeable presence as a guest on this particular recording. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Alan Rusbridger... the name of the then editor of the British newspaper The Guardian was written on the cover of my album released in 2016. Two years later, Rusbridger attended a Woog Riots concert in London, which spawned a photo shoot together. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One of my songs should be used in a Wes Anderson film. I would like to spend a summer at the Bienale Art Exhibition in Venice. There I would play every day in a Pavillion at the Giardini. I would love to play my song Yayoi Kusama in front of her.
