Saheb Sarbib

Raised in Europe, bassist Saheb Sarbib came to New York around 1977-1978 and, although he has received little publicity since, he has recorded several notable records as a leader of both a big band and a quartet; Sarbib's albums have come out on the Cadence and Soul Note labels. Although a fine bassist, Sarbib has also been an avant-garde bandleader. ~ Scott Yanow
