Jesus on Extasy

Jesus on Extasy are a goth industrial band from the Ruhr area of Germany. Founded in Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia, in 2005 by cousins Dorian Deveraux (vocals) and Chai Deveraux (guitar), the band also includes Alicia Vayne (guitar), Ophelia Dax (synthesizer), and BJ (drums). They made their recording debut in 2007 with an independently released, self-produced EP, Assassinate Me, which led to a recording contract with the German label Drakkar Entertainment. The label proceeded to release Jesus on Extasy albums including Holy Beauty (2007) and Beloved Enemy (2008). The band has also toured Europe and performed at festivals including M'era Luna, Wave-Gotik-Treffen, and Summer Breeze Open Air. ~ Jason Birchmeier
