Canton Jones

Canton Jones is a Grammy-nominated gospel singer, rapper, producer, and arranger whose unapologetic, socially conscious take on the genre weaves traditional gospel, R&B, hip-hop, and electronic pop with musical theater and dance. Known for tackling both social and spiritual issues, Jones expanded contemporary gospel’s reach with releases like Kingdom Business (2007), Love Jones (2009), Dominionaire (2011), and Lust, Drugs, & Gospel (2014), each pairing modern sounds with a strong Christian message. Later albums including I Am Justice (2016) and Ghost (2018) addressed race, personal accountability, and social division. Jones' became incredibly prolific in the 2020s, issuing a spate of singles, EPs, and full-length efforts, including Letters to Myself (2024), Jesus and Money (2025) and The Promise Notes (Love Stories from the Word) (2026).
