Alela Diane

Alela Diane is a singer/songwriter whose warm, measured vocal delivery and intricate fingerstyle technique are hallmarks of her earnest and dreamy indie folk songs. After releasing her solo debut, 2003's Forest Parade, and the follow-up, The Pirate's Gospel, she made her Rough Trade label debut with To Be Still in 2009. It landed in the Top 20 in France. She followed it with the collaborative LP Alela Diane & Wild Devine in 2011. After self-releasing the breakup-themed solo album About Farewell two years later, she teamed up with folk artist Ryan Francesconi for 2015's Full Moon. Her fifth solo album, Cusp, appeared in 2018, and 2022's wistful Looking Glass bore the weight of the COVID-19 pandemic. After issuing the collaborative holiday album It's Always Christmas Somewhere, she returned in 2026 with her seventh solo LP, Who's Keeping Time?
