Formed in Dessau outside of Leipzig, Germany, Leave's music is sufficiently complementary to the post-hardcore/emo-inspired sound that was a staple of rock radio in the earliest part of the 21st century. After building an impressive local résumé touring with acts like Polaris, Bad Omens, and Ghostkid, German metalcore label Out of Line released their debut album The Cost of Compromise in 2025; it featured tracks like “Longing to Believe” (featuring guest vocals from former Being as an Ocean vocalist Michael McGough), “Perfect Tragedy,” and “When I’m Gone.”
