The Mary Onettes

Highlighted by ringing guitars and reverb-bathed vocals, the Mary Onettes' music is a moody, majestic blend of icy '80s new wave and jangling Swedish indie pop. They were one of the leading bands on Labrador Records, releasing a string of albums for the label in over a decade's time. After a short break -- and a boost in visibility thanks to some fortuitous placement on a popular streaming show -- they reconvened in the 2020s with their trademark chilly sound intact.
