About Renan Luce

French singer/songwriter Renan Luce was born in Paris in 1980. He obtained a regular opening act opportunity with Bénabar, and released Repenti in 2006. It displayed Luce's personal palette of inspiration, ranging from close-to-rebel intonations to everyday life sensitive observations. Luce began touring intensively and Repenti sold well, though very progressively, reaching a peak in early 2008, with the late mass success of its lead single. He received the Académie Charles-Cros price in 2007 and both "Best Breakthrough Album" and "Best Breakthrough Live Act" Victoires de la Musique in 2008. ~ Olivier Duboc
