In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Coroner, along with bands like Voivod and Watchtower, helped shape what would later be known as technical and progressive thrash. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The trio put out 5 critically praised records and a semi-compilation between 1987-1994, each one dragging thrash metal further into innovative, more experimental territory. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Now, in October 2025, Coroner will release their first new studio album in over thirty years. This one took time. It moved slow, stayed quiet, and took shape mostly in the background. Until the moment felt right to let it surface.
