About Soul Patrol
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember the first time I played an electric guitar. I had been playing my Mother's Gibson 60s jumbo body acoustic for several years, then my Dad bought me an electric for my 13th birthday. What a difference! I was in love with playing, still am! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? April Wine, April Wine: Greatest Hits Scorpions, Gold: Scorpions The Cars, The Cars 3 of my top 10 bands; great songs, amazing guitar work, vocals, production. April Wine and the Scorpions are my favorite rock bands and have been for decades, and the Cars have a perfect blend of guitars, synths, and well-crafted catchy songs... Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Let It Shine” I wrote it in about an hour, came to me very quickly. It's about being a good person, random acts of kindness, paying it forward... the world could use more of that, and we have a great example... What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring prisons in the 90s with Soul Patrol, which is also a biker ministry. I got to go places most people have never seen, and entertain and minister to people through hard rock music, people that society sometimes gives up on. God never gives up. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? YES! 4 other albums that need to be remastered, also finishing and producing "Soul Patrol 2," and recording/producing more of the many songs I have written throughout my life and experiences. I also have the desire to get all of my work on vinyl!
