JJerome87 is the alias of Joe Newman, the British singer/songwriter best known as the frontman for acclaimed indie band Alt-J. After releasing the group's 2022 album, The Dream, Newman headed to Los Angeles to record his solo debut. The Canyon, released in 2026, marked an expansion of his sound with detours into sunny West Coast pop with hints of Motown, gospel, and other genres.
