In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember locking my bedroom door and hiding under my blankets late at night, recording songs on my phone so my family wouldn’t hear me. Those moments taught me to believe in myself even when no one else knew what I was working on. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fridayy, Fridayy Phil Collins, Love Songs Shinyori Sisters, Thomas Chauke, The Best of, Vol. 1 Fridayy reminds me why I’m doing this and keeps me motivated. The Best Of, Vol. 1 takes me back to memories of my grandmother, while Phil Collins’ Love Songs resonates with me because I’m a lover at heart and connect deeply with its emotions. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments of my career was performing in Burgersfort and hearing fans sing my songs word for word. They even requested songs from my older catalogue, despite me never having been there before. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Collaborating with artists across Africa on a record that unites the continent, landing a major international collaboration, and winning Metro FM, BET, and GRAMMY Awards. Most importantly, I want to create a Song of the Year that leaves an impact.
