In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When we were in high school, we would open up a banjo case and play for tips on Lower Broadway in Nashville. It was a great way to practice. I remember one day we took home $80 and a six pack of Coca-Cola. We thought that was the coolest thing ever. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lucero, Tennessee Pinegrove, Skylight The Avett Brothers, Emotionalism There’s just such an honesty to these records and none of these bands are trying to be anything but themselves - they all use traditional country and bluegrass instruments but have their own unique sound. Tell us why you chose this song. “Canyon Walls” In the fall of 2024, we were completely burned out. Writing 'Canyon Walls' gave us the spark we didn’t know we needed. It’s all about holding on to hope and rediscovering yourself. Looking back, it was the moment that lit the path to Breakfield. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Stepping in the circle at the Opry or playing Bonnaroo in 2015 — as musicians who grew up in Nashville, both of those moments are super special to us. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To keep making records and playing for our fans. Every time we step into the studio or onto the stage, it’s a privilege. We just want to keep that momentum going and grow with the people who’ve supported us from the start.
