In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad used to play old 80s and 90s country all the time. It was my first introduction to music. Eventually I discovered 90s alternative and that led to buying my first acoustic guitar from a garage sale. I've loved many kinds of music my whole life. I wanted to capture that feeling of waking up with nowhere to be — the sunlight coming through the window, coffee brewing, maybe a soft rain outside. It’s a track you can put on and just breathe... What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? "Honestly, releasing ‘Saturdays’ and seeing it out in the world has been huge for me. It’s one thing to make music in my own corner, but realizing that people I’ve never met are relaxing, studying, or unwinding to something I created is great.
