One of my earliest musical memories is sitting in the back seat of my parents car while they played old cassette tapes. Daft Punk, Random Access Memories Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill That my top three albums each one shaped how I think about music—Lauryn for the raw honesty, Kendrick for the storytelling, and Daft Punk for the way it made electronic music feel alive. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pa Kapav Efasé” It tells my story of growing up with hardship and turning every scar into strength, nights without peace and the fight to stay hopeful. It’s special to me because it proves that no matter the pain some memories shape us and can never be erased. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Uploading my first track to streaming platforms was a huge milestone. Watching the first plays come in made me realize I was really stepping into the artist I always wanted to be. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to bring Mauritian Creole music onto a world stage so people everywhere can feel the energy of our island. Blending dancehall, seggae, and trap with my roots is something I still dream of.
