In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is sitting on the floor as a kid, completely glued to the TV, watching Hannah Montana. I remember singing into my hairbrush microphone, and feeling this very strong sense that this was what I wanted to do. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beyoncé, 4 (Expanded Edition) Michael Jackson, Bad Rihanna, ANTI (Deluxe) I chose these albums because the songs on them feel unmatched to me. They move me every time I listen and set a level I will forever chase creatively. Beyoncé, Rihanna and Michael Jackson are my three heroes, and these albums shaped how I feel music. Tell us why you chose this song. “Play Pretend” Play Pretend is special to me because it’s the most honest I’ve ever been. I wrote it putting words to feelings I’d spent years hiding. It feels vulnerable, but also freeing, like finally telling the truth out loud.
