Jeffrey Steele is a renowned American country singer, songwriter, and producer. He first rose to prominence as the lead singer and bassist of Boy Howdy from 1990 to 1996. After relocating to Nashville, he became one of its most prolific hitmakers, contributing to over 75 gold and platinum albums, with notable hits for Rascal Flatts ("What Hurts the Most") and Tim McGraw ("The Cowboy in Me"). Steele has maintained a prolific solo career, releasing acclaimed albums like You Gotta Start Somewhere (2003), Hell On Wheels (2006), and CountryPolitan (2007).
