About DALMANE SMITH
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was singing “Diamonds Are Forever” at my primary school talent show. I remember clutching the microphone with both hands, nervous but excited, as the backing track started and the whole room went quiet. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend – The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly Wizkid, Made In Lagos I chose these albums because they each shaped me. Made in Lagos brings back memories of warm evenings and culture. Legend reminds me of childhood. To Pimp a Butterfly made me see rap as art with depth, truth, and purpose. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Its was releasing my first song and seeing strangers connect with it online. As a brand new artist, knowing that my music resonated with people I’ve never met was both surreal and incredibly motivating. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still dream of performing internationally, releasing a full-length album that tells my story, and collaborating across genres. It’s all about growth, connection, and creating something lasting that truly reflects who I am as an artist.
