In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory is lying on the sofa with the lights off while my father played his old vinyl of Pink Floyd’s Meddle. In the dark, the music felt alive, like something sharing the room with us—beautiful and a little unsettling. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Opeth, Blackwater Park Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon Remastered Steven Wilson, Hand. Cannot. Erase. These albums are pieces of complete art from their lyrics to cover artwork to sound engineering. All have unorthodox approaches to song structure and pushed the boundaries in their respective genres. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Sun” This song wrote itself, it was done in 2 days. It starts almost like a power ballad from SOAD then evolves into this exotic progressive metal piece which takes you by surprise. But still it feels effortless and whole. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We played at a festival in Bonn and after our set many people from the audience came and personally congratulated us, asking questions, even taking selfies.The idea of someone moved by your music and wanting to have a connection with you is amazing. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Going on an European Tour as the headliner and opening for a world class act like Opeth.
