In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember when I was 9 and I asked my dad if I could direct the church choir. Instead, he put me in piano lessons. From there he would play songs on his guitar and I'd mimic it on the piano. I'm forever grateful to him for influencing me with music. Tell us why you chose this song. “Secret Place” I love this song because it takes you on a journey with me to my secret place—the place where I talk to God. Being a stay-at-home mom wasn't easy, so going to my secret place was how I kept my sanity. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting the call that I've won an award for the best Gospel song in the Pensacola Beach Songwriter Festival. I had completely forgotten that I had even submitted my song to the festival and was getting ready to have my baby. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I think my bucket list is still growing but I would love to be able to say that I've played at the Grand ole Opry.
