Houston singer/songwriter and producer Derby weaves his Americana-heavy narratives into the layered, dream pop/alt-R&B hybrid sound of the mid-2020s. Debuting with brief 2021 mixtape Hiraeth, the musician came into his own on emotive 2025 debut album Slugger.
