In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being 5 years old and seeing my dad play the intro riff for Day Tripper by The Beatles on his guitar. This was the only riff he knew. When I first seriously picked up a guitar at 11 years old, I had but one goal: play Day Tripper. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Bowie, Low (2017 Remaster) Magdalena Bay, Imaginal Disk Radiohead, Kid A Kid A puts me in a headspace that only walking in an empty, snowy city could recreate. Imaginal Disk is the most pleasant, uncanny collection of sounds I've ever heard. Low changed how I approach lyrics. A song does not need to be flooded with words. Tell us why you chose this song. “Almost Swan Song” This marked a new chapter and direction for me as a songwriter. Almost Swan Song was meant to be both specific to me and vague to the audience. While the lyrics make perfect sense to me with my lived experience, to you they may only set a vibe. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The support from my friends after the release of The Beam was really encouraging. I think that was a therapeutic "band-aid" ripping off for me as an artist. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Right now, my goal is to figure out how to translate my songs to a live venue.
