Joanna Kacperek

Joanna Kacperek is a Polish pianist who emphasizes 19th and early 20th century solo piano repertoire as well as intimate collaborative work with vocalists and instrumentalists. One of her main performing partnerships is with soprano Clara Barbier Serrano, with whom she has appeared in concerts in the U.K. and France. She has performed at major venues across Europe and in Canada and Japan. Kacperek has a special place in her repertoire for her compatriot Chopin, devoting concerts to his music. Her debut album, Variations (Rubicon Classics, 2024), focused on that form as utilized by Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, and Chopin. Her second album, In Plain Sight (Rubicon Classics, 2026), presents piano music by women composers from the Classical era through the early 20th century.
