About Lady Audri
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a little girl, I walked into the back room of my grandparents' house and saw my cousin recording on old desktop computer. He put headphones on me and told me to spit a rhyme. It was my first time seeing music recorded. I was hooked. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chris Brown, F.A.M.E. (Expanded Edition) Mali Music, Mali Is... Tennessee State University, The Urban Hymnal "F.A.M.E."'s creativity and production amazed me. "Mali Is" hooked me with its concept and style. "The Urban Hymnal", besides being heavily involved, reignited my love for the marching band from my days as a marching band student. I marched 7 years. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Amen” I wrote "Amen" during a tough season in my life. It was my expression of gratitude to God and acknowledgment of the prayers of my family. It was also the first song I released under Lady Audri. Before, it was just Audri. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? During the live broadcast for Grammy nominations, I heard "The Urban Hymnal" announced as a Grammy nominated album. My best friend and I ran around the house shouting, "We're nominated!". It was surreal. I knew we could win, and we did. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are many things left, but to name one, it would be to go on a tour that is both impactful and lucrative without compromise. I want to share my music with people everywhere, while staying true to my faith, values, and artistic vision.
