In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember when I was 6 or 7 years old, I saw a Trad Jazz Band playing on the street... I was transfixed by the trumpet player, and begged my mother for a trumpet. She relented and I started having lessons when I was 8 or 9. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Miles Davis, My Funny Valentine: In Concert (Live) Nicholas Payton, Gumbo Nouveau Radiohead, OK Computer Nick's playing on Gumbo Nouveau is swingin' and incendiary and this album was my go-to when I was 15 or so. Radiohead opened my ears up to new sounds away from Jazz round the same time. And Miles? Just the best: freedom, soul, and absolute mastery. Tell us why you chose this song. “Going Home” I have been captivated by this melody since I was a kid playing in school orchestra. It seemed to float through the air, and was shimmering and beautiful. I hope my version brings you, the listener, to a place of peace, love, and contentment. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being included in the the band for Oscar Peterson centennial in 2025; it's an honour to play with the greats and celebrate the master of Jazz piano! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to tour the world with my latest album "In The World's First Summer."
