When I was around 7 or 8 years old, I heard the Beach Boys, "Good Vibrations," and have such a distinct memory that the soundscape in this song was different and unique from other pop tracks. (It used an electro-theremin and lots of tape splicing.) What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Coma Alliance, Weapon of Choice Front 242, Front By Front Nine Inch Nails, The Downward Spiral Explicit Version I love the masterful, driving, and powerful soundscapes of Front 242 and NIN. Coma Alliance is the perfect synthesis of Diorama's and Diary of Dreams' strengths: dark, foreboding, building to a crescendo. Tell us why you chose this song. “Take Me Down” I've been interested in microtonal scales in ethnic music, but wondered what it would be like to bring this feel into a dark/electronic/driving composition. That's how "Take Me Down" came into being. It's an exploration of a near-death experience. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Many years ago, when I was in the techno group 68000, I opened for Information Society. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To normalize microtonal music in electro-industrial music. (Or any beat-driven electronic music.)
