Luister La Voz

Luister la Voz is Luis Carlos Cabeza de Ávila, a Colombian champeta singer and songwriter. Born in 1998, he grew up in Cartagena de Indias, but managed to escape the pull of bad influences thanks to his religious upbringing and his family, as well as both music and soccer. Eventually settling for the former, he began self-releasing singles in the late 2010s, slowly accruing a following with his contemporary mixture of champeta with urban and Caribbean genres. Although the formula generated several local hits over the next few years, his big breakthrough came around 2023 when tracks such as "Espacio" and "Otra Cosa (Remix)" went viral. That year also saw the release of his first official EP, the live stripped-down session Mi Primera Navidad Sin Ti. A second volume appeared in 2024, followed by dozens of more singles across 2025 and 2026.
