About Susanne Menzel
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up with classical music in our house, at an realy age my dad took me to the opera. My first time was about at the age of 6, we went and listened to Mozarts "The Abduction from the Seraglio". I ended up singing all those arias... Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Roamin' (feat. Peter Weniger, Martin Wind & Hans Dekker)” Roamin' is about a trip that I went on with my friend Joyce. We were quite young and spent a week travelling by car through Arizona, not knowing where we would end up the next day. We felt free and easy-going, enjoyed nature and life. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I spent some time in the US I had the chance of singing in a BigBand conducted by the great female composer and arranger Maria Schneider. An uplifting moment, the orchestral sounds, the magnificient conducting, it was pure music.
