If country music needs a Justin Bieber, it could be Maddox Batson, a young man who sings, dances, writes his own songs, stars in his own music videos, is a social media sensation, and accomplished all of this before he was old enough to drive. Batson began posting videos of himself singing cover tunes in 2023, and within a year he had a handful of viral videos of his own songs to his credit, offering a fresh, youthful spin on pop country with songs like "X's," "Southbound," and "I Don't Like You Anymore." In 2025, he released his first major-label EP, First Dance.
