In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Keith: Playing music with my older brother in our parents' basement, him on piano and me on drums Alex: Dubbing TV theme songs with a cassette recorder then singing along to them Josh: Hearing Mozart's Einen Kleinen Nachtmusik when I was 5 or 6 What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Mastodon, Crack the Skye Portishead, Roseland, NYC Live R.E.M., Automatic For The People Alex: Crack the Skye - So heavy yet so beautiful, emotional and cinematic. It's perfect all around. Keith: Automatic For The People - It's just a really beautiful album. Josh: Roseland, NYC Live - Prime example of incredible talent and great tunes. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bogdanovist” It's special because the subject matter is about the idealism of scientifically inspired revolution that ironically dissolves under the weight of organic process and human nature. I intentionally matched the composition of the music to this theme. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Keith: Playing at the Replay Lounge in Lawrence, KS back in Mar 2024. Alex: Getting to open for Pallbearer was a really memorable moment! Josh: Wrote my first space-rock song when I was 17; got to play it live onstage for the 1st time 20 years later. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Keith: A multi-stop tour Alex: A small regional tour with other KC bands/friends. Josh: I'll always enjoy writing & performing music. There's nothing like the beauty of the moment when you're making music with other people and everything just clicks.
