About Ren Trey

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Staying up late after my family went to sleep, headphones on, discovering new music online. I’d listen to tracks on repeat until sunrise. That feeling of discovery and obsession shaped how I connect with music to this day. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fatboy Slim, Live On Brighton Beach Stanton Warriors, Fabriclive 30: Stanton Warriors The Prodigy, The Fat of the Land These albums stood out because they pushed boundaries and offered something no one else was doing at the time. They expanded my musical palette, sparked curiosity, and showed me how electronic music could feel bold, emotional, and limitless. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “London Vibe (feat. Mhairi & LucyVivor)” I chose this track because it brings all of my influences together in one place, blending breakbeat energy, house grooves, and gritty movement. Making it pushed my production skills forward and taught me how to shape contrast into a cohesive record. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Winning Mixmag’s Future Heroes and playing at Creamfields were huge, but the moments that stay with me most happen in the studio. Hearing a track finally come together after years of work and feeling tears of happiness is when I know why I do this. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I feel like I’m just getting started. I’m a DJ first and foremost, and what I’m always chasing is that connection with a crowd. Whether it’s a small room or a big space, there’s real magic in both, and that energy keeps pulling me back.
