Eje Eje

Eje Eje is another exploratory endeavor for multi-instrumentalist Itamar Klüger, known for uniquely exploring the ways and means of Turkish music and hazy '70s-inspired soundscapes as a member of the sextet Şatellites and the duo Köy Kardeşler. The differences between each project are nuanced; the instrumentals of Eje Eje are characterized by psychedelic, disco, dub and Western folk influences - a fascinating sonic blend that rarely recedes into ambient background music. Eje Eje's music is learned, catchy and certainly unique: debut album Five Seasons (2023) built a song cycle inspired by the season cycle of the Chinese calendar (which adds a short "interlude" season for the end of summer). Follow-up Primordial Soup (2025) continued the sonic adventure, citing Western artists from DJ Shadow to The Stone Roses as influences which Klüger would combine with Turkish, Arabic and Moroccan musical ideas.
