About Trine Rein

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I think one of my first favorite songs was the Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand duet 'No More Tears (Enough is Enough)'. I loved the two powerhouse singers, and the temperament in the song. I used to sing along whenever it was on the radio. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chaka Khan, Epiphany: The Best of Chaka Khan, Vol. 1 Mother's Finest, Mother's Finest (Live) Whitney Houston, Whitney Houston Through the 80s and 90s, these were my favorite albums. In many ways, they formed me as a singer and artist. I have many great memories from covering songs from these artists in my own earlier concerts, and they gave me a great musical variety. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Torn (Acoustic Version)” This song probably has more history than any of my other recordings. 2026 is my 30th anniversary with Torn, and I have paid homage to it by recording it in a new, acoustic version. I hope you like it! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moment in my career was when I received a call from my record company to let me know the Japanese had embraced my first album, Finders Keepers. A huge success followed, and i got to travel to Japan to go on tours. I feel so blessed! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I dream about coming back to Japan for a concert tour, to meet my wonderful followers again. I would also love to be able to play concerts in my original home country, USA at some point.
