About Knives
Ferocious British post-punk band Knives deliver a punishingly dense mix of hard guitars, forceful electronics, and bleating saxophone, held together with a funky rhythmic attack and rap-style vocals forcefully confronting social and political issues. Composed of long-time friends who value and celebrate diversity, Knives often speak about larger issues through the lens of personal experiences, and offered up a herky-jerky debut single with 2023's "Newshounds." Later that year, they offered a glimpse of their artier side on a radical reworking of Kate Bush's "Babooshka." A more focused and individual assault could be heard on their 2024 EP What We See in Their Eyes, and their first album, 2025's Glitter, was an uncompromising experiment in post-punk rabble-rousing.
