In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember Christmas of ‘06. The big family gift was a Yamaha digital piano. I would soon start picking out melodies & trying to learn the demo songs (and getting frustrated). I’d continue that until I started taking piano lessons at age 7. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ben Folds, Rockin' the Suburbs Coldplay, A Rush of Blood to the Head MUTEMATH, Play Dead Play Dead is one of my main sources for production inspiration. Rockin’ the Suburbs is my go-to for conversational lyricism. Finally, A Rush of Blood was one of the first albums that truly had my jaw on the floor. Tell us why you chose this song. “Goneurownway” This song begins with an audio clip of my mom from a home video (“ok here’s Kell Martin”). While it’s an introduction, it’s also a double meaning. The song feels so much like me as well & reminds me of the video games I played growing up!
