In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first instrument I ever played, was one I built myself. As a little kid I used to wrap elastic bands around a chair and pluck them. Still far from composing, I did notice that the pitch was dependent on the tension of the rubber bands.
