Winter

Winter -- the project of singer/guitarist Samira Winter -- plays a brand of dreamlike guitar pop with songs that typically consist of billowing layers of atmospheric guitars and keyboards, subtle production tricks, and hazy, multi-layered vocals sung in English and Portuguese. While early records often had rough edges, when Samira turned the group into a solo project she fully embraced the gauzy, lighter-than-air aspects of Winter's sound on 2020's Endless Space (Between You & I), drifted into stark shoegaze territory on 2022's What Kind of Blue Are You?, and combined the two in winning fashion on 2025's Adult Romantix.
